To hopefully get something started...

What is it that you like about Littlefinger?

Before starting I'd like to say i suck at english, so my post might hurt to read XP

(Warning for series only viewers: spoilers for the books below)

Littlefinger's one of the smartest characters in the book. He never loses his head and it feels like he is always on top of the situation. He is also a bit of a gambler; he went out of his way, seriously risking all the power he gained and his position just have Cat's daughter with him (and I doubt he did all that just to give her away in marriage: I bet a lot of money he want her to marry the heir, then he'll die in an 'accident', then Littlefinger will reveal the truth about Sansa and then marry her, thus gaining 'Cat' and all the power)

Plus, I was always interested in Sansa; I wanted to see her grow and hoped she wouldn't meet a bad fate in King's Landing. Thanks to Littlefinger, she is safer and finally becoming a much more interesting character.

Funny enough, he's usually the character I hate: he's not a good guy, he helped kill the good guy (thank god I didn't have time to fall in love with Ned) and clearly has second intentions towards the good guy's daughter...who is a child.

As a character, I love his cunning. He's crafty, witty and poorly underestimated. He's also a romantic, but practical.

In the show, I think he's extremely sexy. Love the smirk, and his style of dress, and his hair and little beard. He'd just my type.

No one could have possibly been better to play Littlefinger than Aidan Gillen. I would say more to that but I'm not feeling terribly well at the moment and I doubt that I would have to back up or justify that statement to anyone here anyway :-)

I like Littlefinger because as a character, he sneaked up on me. I hardly noticed him the first book, he wasn't even in the second, and then finally towards the end of the third he pulls some awesome, badassery that made me love him (I'm trying not to give out spoilers here). I love how he has outsmarted everyone by simply thinking things through without bias and not letting his emotions get in the way of his decision making. All of the other characters (with the exception of maybe Tywin) are guilty of making stupid emotional choices at some point that end up costing them dearly. I'm really excited to see what is in store for Littlefinger in the rest of the series :-)
